My professional life and my personal life is equally important to me and they impact each other. Meaning that they enrich me as a person, and thus the people I am connected to. It has been a long journey to dare being all of me, everywhere. Bringing forth the skills, experience and emotions needed for the occasion, and knowing how to.

Business Development is my key professional skill and I love the start-up world, the versatility, creativity and risk it contains. I have my own start-up in its early stages and I love to share my love for it and experiences with that.

I come from many years in the Oil & Gas industry. I have also worked in aquaculture and I have a few years with the UN in Vienna. I am a Negotiations specialist, NLP Coach and a Yoga teacher. Three fields that together make up my approach when interacting with others. I am still, and will always be a learner.

I am of mixed cultures, with strong influence from Sweden, Mexico and Belgium. I have lived in London, Buenos Aires, Vienna, Oslo and now Stavanger, apart from my inherited countries. I speak Swedish, English and Spanish fluently.

I am a single mother of twins that were born just when I turned 41. They changed everything and they keep on rocking my boat.

My name is Marta and I'm the founder of Marta Tweaks. I believe that everyone needs help with something. There exists no one who can do ALL. That is why we as people need each other. With that believe I'm building Marta Tweaks to help you with small struggles that you may have.

Why do I think I can help you? I got my skills by owning my own salon for some years, as well as working in different ones. From those experiences, I learn what best customer service is, how important is the first impression and detailing. I could learn all of this on my own skin and on my own mistakes as well as others. It is not a shame to make a mistake, the important thing is what you are learning from it.

I have a bachelor's degree in health since with a specialization in cosmetology and wellness. My education focused mainly on customer service and salon management. In addition to that, I went through Visual merchandising courses, as well as social media, web tools, coaching, and leadership training (Handelshøyskolen BI, Stavanger) and others related to managing and opening a company. I went through all of that so you don't have to.

People who know me and my previous mentees say I bring a wealth of knowledge, both professional and life related. When mentoring I always systematically explore the issues at hand and together with mentee look for solution, always looking for long term, solid solution. My mottos are: "One option is not (re)solution, two are a dilemma, only three and more options give the right solution" and "Nothing can be improved unless first being standardized ". In both cases brainstorming is essential, which comes naturally to me. I also hold MBTI licence from CAPT, Atlanta, US.

Having spent 10 years in an engineering driven career, I moved to Paris with my family to pursue an MBA, with the drive to do something more with my professional career. Since then, I have lived in three countries in Europe and gathered a great deal of inter-cultural experience. In the course of this time I have learnt a great deal about the job search process in these parts of Europe and the importance of personal branding. In the two previous mentorship programs I have helped my mentees adapt these learnings into their specific situations.
